On 1-24-26 at approximately 6:05PM, a male was crossing Morse Rd from the northside of the roadway to the southside of the roadway in a crosswalk, with the walk signal. A dark colored SUV was making a right hand turn from Northtowne Blvd. to travel westbound on Morse Rd. striking the victim as he was in the crosswalk. The victim was thrown to the ground from being struck by the SUV.

On May 23, 2016, shortly after 2:00 a.m., a shooting occurred in the front parking lot area of the Waffle House, located at 1405 Cassady Avenue. The victim was sitting in the driver seat of his vehicle, a gray 2012 Chevrolet Traverse, when he was approached by two (2) unknown male/black individuals in the parking lot. During the encounter the victim was shot and the suspects fled the parking lot area immediately after the shooting. The victim was pronounced dead at scene. During the investigation surveillance video was recovered and did capture one (1) of the suspects who approached the victim’s vehicle when the shooting occurred.
